Let me first explain why I didn't attach any FRST logs, I'm posting this on behalf of my sibling, whose USB flash drives (maybe more than 10) were heavily infected. I cleaned them (not on my laptop, on a PC with deep freeze). but now when I open the USB drive(s), I find a shortcut of the USB name. I can still access the contents of the USB, but why am I still getting shortcut? Are the USB flash drives still infected?
I tried Adwcleaner, Hitmanpro and NPE and they found nothing?
