Hey Guys!

I am a little surprised, but it seems that everyone likes the new gadget, so we are going to go with it 😉.

Here is the latest version, it should be pretty much complete, but please let me know if something is not quite right.

I have not included the language translations yet for the new gadget, but I will do so once everything is finalized.

Thank you Guys!

Hey Guys!

This version should be ready for public release, but please let me know if you find anything.

The border on the gadget is thinner now (thank you @v4npro) and I cleaned up the edges of the gadget so they are pixel perfect.

The various languages have been implemented into the gadget as well, although I am sure there will be a few small tweaks on the verbiage for the next couple of months.

CyberLock 7.69 GadgetTest3

Have a great weekend!

Still waiting till my 7.62 CL finds a new release version over the internal updater ;)
We could update this super fast, but why inconvenience businesses and consumers with installing a new version a week before they need to install the latest version? If there was a serious bug we had to fix it would be a different story. Most users simply want to be properly protected and have a recent stable version. This is why we wait to update the public release.

Hi @danb, any possibility to make CL/VS a registered AV so as to run CL/VS alone, replacing Defender? To me, CL/VS is capable as a standalone solution and I do not wish to run anything that relies on and constantly needs to update signatures. Thanks.

But then please only give the user a choice as to whether CL should be registered or not. I would definitely like to continue using F-Secure in addition to CL.

I appreciate that, but CyberLock really was designed to complement AV's, not to compete with them. AV's offer certain features that CyberLock does not offer, and CyberLock offers certain features that AV's do not offer. You can get by with just CyberLock, but good security includes several layers.

Hey Guys!

We have released CyberLock 7.70 to the public and will activate the auto update in a few days.

Thank you for all of your help!

Dan
@danb FYI I went to URL to DL 7.70 using Edge and it was blocked by malwarebytes browser guard ref v2.6.18 heuristics a "suspicious download" this was Monday night 11pm

Version 7.70 cannot be installed on my two PCs via CyberLock 7.69 GadgetTest3. I first have to uninstall CyberLock 7.69 GadgetTest3 and then install 7.70.
I did not have the problem installing 7.70 on my win10(s) other than mbam browser guard wanted to block the URL, but I installed over 7.69 GadgetTest3 aok... (fwiw). On another win10 installed 7.70 over 7.67 no issues.

Hmmm, that is very odd. The upgrades went well, so it must have been an isolated case, either way, thank you for letting me know.

Did a fresh install of CL latest 7.70 version. Works fine :)

I had thought CL caused Edge showing as managed by organization but as far as I can make out it was because I logged into work MS Teams to whitelist it ahead of a catch-up meeting with work on Wednesday. Simple fix was to delete Edge registry entry though only policy was Startupboost Enabled.

Anyway, really liking the new icon :)

I doubt it was anything to do with MS Teams. Same bug I encounter randomly after some Edge updates. It's a PITA.
