We human beings are one of a kind of animal in this planet. All the other animals are bit alike and we are the only one that stands out. How are we different from other animals? One fundamental characteristic that we have and others don't have it 'the want for more'. Whatever we may have we want more of it. This is only true for us, other animal species don’t have this characteristic. While for all the other animal species life is just – ‘eat, drink and sleep’, for us its much more. It has been said that we human beings have progressed so much because we have always dreamt of more. We were never satisfied with just food, we wanted more and this saga still continues. Let it be the poorest of the poor or the richest of the rich, a person always wants more. How does this characteristic came into us, no other animal species shows even a small percentage of this characteristic. Is this really a characteristic that evolved within us or did it came from somewhere outside, like it may have been induced into us. We all know that human beings evolved from apes, though the missing link has never been found. So, what triggered this evolution and how come we are the only ones that evolved so much; so much that no other species comes even minutely close to us.

We, human beings do a lot of experiments, like we are trying to make robots that can behave like us and we are trying to mechanize us so that we can work like robots. We also train animals so that they can do some work that we do. We do all kinds of experiments, isn’t it. So, what if some kind of species exists in some other planet and is much more intelligent than us, wouldn’t it also like to do some experiments. What if thousands of years ago they came to earth and did some experiments on some creatures here. They just had to induce this certain characteristic in a creature here. They did it and may be now just watching the result.

We've the ability to ask such question but the animal species can't, that is the difference.

Rest I'll reply later when I find time.:D
