Try to have a happy Mother's Day, ma'am.
I would say the numbers speaks the very opposite, and personal I'm not surprised if consider the extreme issues that happened in the US with the Solarwind hack and just now recently one of their main Oil pipelines was shutdown because of a ransomware attack. Of course other countries constant get hacked too, but the scale and size that hits the US seems way bigger then most other combined as some reports also indicates, and it's really sad to view and extra so when it constant effects the little guy, the common citizen. Business for security hasn't been better then in a long time, and I wouldn't be surprised if it will grow even more this year. Security and extra so developer job opportunities is at least in this country huge, and for almost anyone with the correct education has it real easy finding an employer. This is a simple observation. I feel that in a truly secure society, it will be more difficult for security-related companies to make a profit. The harder we work for security, the more we will lose our jobs, won't we?
It makes me think that this is an industry that involves a dilemma.
