Problem with Thunderbird is Mozilla itself and their low priority on Thunderbird
This is a wrong info. Thunderbird is not controlled by Mozilla. They have been independent since 2012. It was under Mozilla foundation but they didn't control its development. This year it moved under a different subsidiary of Mozilla foundation but like before the development is done by the Thunderbird team, independent from Mozilla.

Yeah you're right.
For me it's still Mozilla in the end

At home: Outlook Express from circa 1998-99 till 2002 and Outlook thereafter. I tried Eudora Pro (remember it?) but heck it doesn't hold a candle to MS Outlook.

The companies I worked for standardised on Lotus Notes (another ancient email client, hint :) ) and MS Outlook. The latter gets my vote every time. Nothing gets better, seriously. I am now on an MSO family subscription and that's all I need for email/calendar/note-taking software on my PC/laptop and mobile phone.

I started to use an extension instead, it is simpler since I am already logged into Google services, so there is no need for a 3rd party app and I would not read emails, when not browsing.
