"How One Hack Nearly Took Down the Internet" YouTube, Veritasium (53 min) and worth every minute especially to members of MalwareTips. Most insight I've ever seen in a video like this. 
PS we did see Crime 101 at the theater. We liked it. Similarities to Heat (1995) but different enough to be its own film. (imo)
I finished "56 Days" on Prime, Season 1 (8 episodes) murder mystery love story. Involved well-written story with many twists but it all holds together.
I took a short break from The White Lotus (season 1), which so far has been spectacular, and before diving into the second season I wanted to play detective. That led me to Knives Out: Wake Up Dead Man (2025), a film that blends classic mystery with a modern touch. Daniel Craig returns as Benoit Blanc, this time joined by a young priest whose honesty and moral perspective evoke the spirit of Father Brown. The impossible crime inside a small-town church with dark secrets strongly recalls Agatha Christie’s intrigues, where everyday life becomes the stage for the extraordinary.
The plot combines humor, tension, and a strong cast — Craig, Josh O’Connor, Glenn Close — to deliver an entertaining experience. In my view, it didn’t quite reach the shocking impact of the first installment (Knives Out, 2019) nor the eccentricity of the second (Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery, 2022), but it’s definitely worth watching if you have a detective’s soul and enjoy intrigue all the way to the end, where every mystery is finally unraveled.
Tangled in the labyrinths of Dark, where every hallway feels like a riddle and every clock laughs at me, I remain stuck in Winden like a tourist without a map. But I’ve already promised myself that once I escape this temporal tunnel, I’ll take a break in a luxury hotel: The White Lotus. No time travel there, only guests devouring each other behind polite smiles and cocktails.A change of scenery: from Winden’s damp basement to the blazing sun of a resort where discomfort is as elegant as the marble in its halls.Perhaps it’s the best way to balance the mind: first get lost in the darkness, then rest in a paradise that shines too brightly to be innocent.

Each season of The White Lotus comes with its own gifts—different themes, different character dynamics brought to life by faithful actors, and different exotic locales. I've enjoyed it quite a lot over the years. Season 2 amidst the beautiful, palatial backdrop of Sicily was gripping and surprisingly humorous with all its twists and turns.
They have a fourth season set in southern France currently in production.
I watched the first 2 seasons of The White Lotus when they first came out, but for some undefined reason I skipped the 3d season. How the 3d compare? I liked the first 2.
@Miravi I really enjoyed the first season of The White Lotus, with its mix of irony and tension that grabs you from the very first episode. Now I’ve already started the second season, and I’m captivated both by the storyline and by those fascinating settings in such a wonderful place as Sicily. Also, thank you for sharing the news about the fourth season in development — I didn’t know about it, and I’m glad to discover it thanks to your comment.
Season 3 can be described as uneven in pacing and execution. However, if you're fond of the other seasons, it's not so bad as to leave you with deep regret after the time commitment. Season 3 was the most successful for viewership and drew a lot of attention on IMDB, so it still contributed to heightening the show's popularity.
I was kind of dazzled by the overall effect and entertainment value of season 2, and after looking it up, it looks like many other people feel it was the most captivating, rewatchable season so far.
Well said @Halp2001. I wish that it would have been advertised more. Because I think that more people would have also liked this movie better than expected. If they had known about it and seen it.I watched it and I liked it. It has that unsettling vibe that blends the ordinary with the impossible, and it left me reflecting on how time can be both a gift and a trap. Time‑travel stories always draw me in because, beyond the sci‑fi aspect, they confront us with the question of whether we truly own our choices or if everything is already written in some cosmic clock.
In that sense, Synchronic plays with the paradox that every temporal leap is also existential: what part of us stays behind and what part projects forward? That ambiguity makes it interesting.
@goodjohnjr Maybe your reviews will encourage more people to take an interest in these kinds of productions, because they convey enthusiasm and curiosity in such a genuine way. In my case, I especially remember the one you wrote about Paradise: it was the spark that motivated me to give it a try, and I don’t regret it—I really enjoyed it. Now I’m eagerly waiting for the second season, and I think comments like yours can be the push others need to discover these stories.

Thanks for sharing, @Victor M . I’ve been reading comments about The Man from Earth and its concept really caught my attention, so I’ve already added it to my watchlist. I’ll check it out after finishing the second season of White Lotus, before diving into the third
what did you think, like it? I had never heard of it -- it gets good reviews at Rotten Tomatoes. (how did you find it?)
Curiosity got the better of me and I ended up watching The Man from Earth (available for free on YouTube), motivated by what I had seen in the trailer and by some comments I had read about it. For an independent production, it achieves a lot with very little: it relies mainly on dialogue and the strength of its ideas. It’s true that some characters don’t get much development, but the core of the film is a provocative reflection on how myths are born and how original philosophies are transformed into larger narratives.
Beyond its limitations, what makes it interesting is its ability to invite the viewer to question the fragility of the truths we take as sacred and to think about how stories are shaped by human and political needs over time.
I started watching it on Prime (iirc) late last night, and was enjoying it, but fell asleep, that was me, not the movie, I'll start it again this afternoon.Curiosity got the better of me and I ended up watching The Man from Earth (available for free on YouTube),
It is an interesting movie. Just don't watch the second one as it is terrible.
