Stevie Ray Vaughan – Texas Flood (From Live At The El Mocambo):

Description:

"Texas Flood (Live at the El Mocambo)" by Stevie Ray Vaughan

Stevie Ray Vaughan was a legendary blues guitarist and singer from Texas, known for his soulful playing and powerful vocals. He rose to fame in the 1980s with hits like "Pride and Joy", "Texas Flood", and "The Sky is Crying", which showcased his incredible guitar skills and deep love for the blues. Vaughan collaborated with many other artists throughout his career, including David Bowie (on the song "Let's Dance"), blues icon B.B. King (on the album "In Session") and his brother Jimmie Vaughan (on their “family Style” album). He was also heavily influenced by other blues legends like Albert King, Freddie King, and Jimi Hendrix, whose playing styles he incorporated into his own unique sound.

To me, this is a good example of the mental issues this man was enduring, he was unengaged, uninspired and you could see it in his crew, they looked to be waiting for the next shoe to fall, typical of people with bi-polar disorder, and then the clincher was his grimace to the crowd at the end of the "performance", Bi-polar disorder is a dreadful predicament and that is what it is, a predicament, they are sadly incapable of making rational choices.

You can hear the pain in his voice. You listen to In Utero album and it's just a angry album about how fame is just bullshit and how he wants to die and it to all go away. It's so sad really, he never wanted to be famous, and it just made his mental health worse and then you add his heroin addiction and it's obvious how it would end up. He would have been better off if Nirvana had been just a unknown small grunge band playing small clubs and pubs.

And you can see how Courtney Love treated him and how that affected his self-worth and mental health. It's very sad that she is the guardian of Nirvana and Cobain when she treated him like crap and had such a troubled relationship. Some people are toxic together and should never be together let alone have a child together, it's very common in society hence the broken relationships and marriages you see everywhere.

Your last paragraph and the word toxic, brought to my mind Amy Winehouse and her boyfriend/husband who helped to keep her strung out on heroin while she was going through rehab.
RIP Amy.

Exactly. It's often the people who surround these famous people that are cancer. They use them and take everything they have and need to keep it going to continue to receive the results of the persons success in money and fame. Amy was a classic example of this, Freddy Mercury is another. It's sadly life, people just use you for what they can get and then discard you when you hit rock bottom or in Amy, Freddy's and Kurts case they die from their excesses which is a way to deal with trauma and mental health problems.

Perfect Sunday music for me. ☺️

Very nice post, he is my favorite classical composer, but your list didn't include this piece, my personal favorite, I like how he takes over the orchestras role at about 2/3 of the way through and the orchestra assumes the lead, unheard of behavior in his time, and that time could be very, very harsh, he was to flamboyant for his elder protégé's, he took a definite hit for his rebellious behavior but refused to alter his compositions, sadly, he died very young, 39 as I recall.
