WAIT
Ideally wait for the Feature Updates to appear in Windows Updates. Early adopters are prone to experience more problems, as they rush to download the Media Creation Tool, Update Assistant, Insiders etc, or sometimes it's not their fault and the Updates are pulled from WU.
HOW-TO
Windows Updates will determine the appropriate KB to install for your Version of the OS. The latest Cumulative update for Windows 10, known as

Feature Updates are released around Spring and Autumn. Version 2004 = 20 (Year) and 04 (Month). At the moment, Microsoft release 2 major updates per year.
