Where do you place your taskbar/dock?

Mine is at the bottom(default). Tried shifting to the vertical left, but it occupies a wide strip(due to clock, WiFi, time, battery icons), and it affects my screen splitting.

I like mine at the bottom, tried other ways but always gone back to default - I do have a Stardock Quick Launch pop-up at the bottom with my most used programs.

I've transitioned to a top taskbar in both Windows and Linux (Lubuntu has the taskbar on the bottom by default) and I have to say I actually prefer it now. Since everything is focused on the top, my cursor usually hangs up there now. Mouse movements are less and since I use keyboard shortcuts a lot, the transition has been really smooth for me.
