ASUS VPN Fusion is a router feature allowing simultaneous connections to multiple VPN servers and assigning different devices to specific VPN tunnels.

Oh cool beans! Thanks for the edumication! (Insert NBC's shooting start gif)

I don't know if this topic has already been covered. In any case, incognito VPN is fantasy. In many cases.

Personally - I like Winscribe and use it, but I know that the headquarters is in Canada. The privacy is the same as in the USA - none. Eset also uses it.
Its advantage is that if I need to use Windscribe in the free version, I can choose a server in several countries in the world.

Bitdefender has Hotspot Shield from the USA and also zero privacy. As if Romanians couldn't choose a better solution...? Let me remind you that HotSpot Shield has already had some mishaps.

I use Proton VPN Free. I trust them the most. So far.

In addition, I have information from many sources that it may not be perfect in terms of operation, but when it comes to privacy, MullVad (Sweden) is very good.
And many trusted people have used Fsecure so far. In my country, security portals recommend it, including the main owners of these portals. Until now, because now the question is what will happen after switching to Avira.
Fsecure is one of the few that is transparent and does not hide anything that it collects.
The rest only lie that it does not collect logs, etc. This is nonsense.
VPN has become a business.

Proton VPN & WindScribe. Both free account.
Mullvad may not be free, but at least you don't have to create an account. They could possibly track you sideways if you pay with your PayPal account, but I've really never heard of them doing that as far as a court order? Mullvad has some better deals through Amazon.

As my Proton was coming to an end + the fact I have never liked the new UI which I've found has not worked well for me, the profile has connected sometimes to the UK & at other times to elsewhere is Europe on boot despite several installs I've left proton - I am now walking in the valley of deep shadow with ExpressVPN which is simple & always connects as requested - Proton was getting again IMHO overly & unnecessarily complicated, so moved on, I'm very happy with ExpressVPN & yes I know about its history :p

I ditched Proton (free in my case) too. I could never get it to routinely connect to the fastest server in the US, which is where it should have connected. It was constantly connecting to a server 1/2 around the world. I tried it again last week and even with a server refresh and PC restarts, it never connected close to home. So for now, I bought a month of Mullvad and will go from there. I like Mullvad's small app footprint, and it's not to bad as far as resources.

As I use the BBC sites lots & are in The UK, I wanted Proton to connect to the fastest server in the UK which my profile should have done, Proton seems to do as it wished & often connected to Netherlands or elsewhere, not a major issue but it worked perfectly well for a long time until Proton in their infinite wisdom decided a better more complex/much larger UI was ended & a map of Europe so I could see where the countries where (I actually learned what the world looked like 50+ years ago though) Just my personal opinion ..

Mullvad being my first pick but im also using azire which is now owned by Malwarebytes and i don't see a difference between the two performance wise. If you want to go abit cheaper you can buy AVG VPN cheap along with the whole suite for like $20 for 3 years.

If you just want cheap, some services like FastestVPN offer lifetime subscriptions for like $20-30 every now and then. Not that I would trust those for doing much other than downloading.

I bought a few lifetime ones to test. FastestVPN works fine (have had it for quite a few years), but not the fastest. SlickVPN worked for like a year, then wouldn't let me use anymore, and wouldn't respond to my emails.

You mean you were using the free version of Proton VPN?

I used Mullvad for some years but in time I had issues with connecting to some UK sites, I haven't tried it for some time but it would be a viable option always, I have found that ExpressVPN works better on IOS than Proton but again that's just my personal experience. As I don't really do things illegal I use a VPN just for privacy from my ISP, but as I pay for a 1 GIG connection a VPN that gives good speeds is pretty important, Proton, Mullvad, & Express do that.
