  • Unstable <---- never get any blue screen , freezes or something.
  • Vulnerable to Malware <-- thats user fault
  • No 2-way Firewall <-- again much better than the win 7
  • Slow Performance <-- with the pc´s we got today that s not noticable

Self-explained thread title.

Windows 10 is:
  • Invades Your Privacy
  • Bloated
  • Weak Security
  • Buggy Updates
  • Unstable
  • Vulnerable to Malware
  • No 2-way Firewall
  • Slow Performance
  • Cannot run 16-bit programs
  • ..
Comment below.

When you put it that way, why am I using W10:p:unsure:

For me I just like being on the latest version. I know over time security updates will stop and software vendors will eventually just stop making their programs compatible with older versions.

I know this is a personal thing, but I like the UI. It's probably their most secure version of Windows yet and they are brining in alot of good security features with each release.

I have to admit that I've had a very good experience thus far. I haven't had too many issues, ceach version has ran well for me. It could very well be that I do a clean install every time a new major update is released, instead of an upgrade, but I know not everyone can do this.

This is likely a satirical thread by Spawn. But two things I seriously would agree is bloatware which isn't a serious issue but an issue nonetheless. Second one is unstability. Its not critically unstable but I've encountered some BSODs which I never had with 8.1 and some startup loop issue. Again this also is not a big issue yet as far as Windows history goes lol.

I agree on UI. Some parts of UI may look like inconsistent merge of modern and classic looks but overall I like it way more than older Windows UIs.

Seems to me that saying windows 10 has weak security is a bit of a stretch ,We all know Windows Defender is a good product, no? And have we forgotten windows 7{Which I like and have on other computer, needs 3rd party protection} as for privacy, depend on what your hiding lol, I really like windows 10, ok I"m nuts I guess.Gl

Directx12 + drivers = games - pure and simple, not much of a choice. I do not mind security that much, I could be running a super light nLited XP (80MB RAM usage) without AV and firewall just fine (vulnerable components removed, services disabled, etc), but that is not really a viable option.

Invades Your Privacy <-- google, phones, and nearly all services in internet do and noone say nothing. - you can avoid them, but not Windows.
Bloated <-- if u talking abouth " extra programs " a normal users dont want.. i never get any of these in any install so.. - you are not normal. ;)
Weak Security <--- all security can be bypassed, always much better than the famous Windows 7 - true, but security is over-hyped, like spectre.
Buggy Updates <-- never veer get any problem updating any pc on windows 10 - consider yourself lucky, every month there is something, never in 7.
Unstable <---- never get any blue screen , freezes or something. - that is individual: hardware, drivers, software, AVs. I had no real BSOD since Vista.
Vulnerable to Malware <-- thats user fault - yes, but 10 makes it easier (powershell), especially since UAC was lowered, then again, because of users.
No 2-way Firewall <-- again much better than the Windows 7 - Windows 7 has more better 3rd party firewall options, like Private Firewall with HIPS.
Slow Performance <-- with the pc´s we got today that s not noticable - Not everyone is running $5000 PC, even on mine there is a huge impact.
Cannot run 16-bit programs <-- 16 bits? who else still runs these programs? - DOS games (a story, months of a gameplay, not just visuals) and even some 32-bit require 16-bit libraries. People still play Doom or Theme Hospital. I have games like Hitman 2, but I would pay $100 for one DOS game.

Win 10 is my only option. Can't go to earlier versions cause 7th gen intel.

Overall stability has taken a toll. Maybe Insider program needs a overhaul but something definitely needs to be done. Earlier (around 6 months ago) my stand on this thing was a little bit more optimistic. I pretty much used to think "No unnecessary programs + No 3rd party security solution = No crashes or bugs" Ahhh the good ol days.:emoji_sob:

I had no real BSOD since Vista.
How? Do I call Satan or something? Who is your guy? I need his contact info
The number BSODs I had on Win10 is just mind blowing (maybe I am exaggerating), never had that many combining all XP+Win7+Win8/8.1 (Even with overall more years between them than Win10). Now granted I use my system more now but still that's a negative on Win10's side.

Maintenance? When you keep Windows clean, it runs like a Swiss clock. Corrupted caches, leftover reg entries and services (like Zemana), it all can create conflicts and eventually BSOD. I have actually started to use so much hated cleaners since Vista. One CCleaner a day, keeps bugs away. :)
