1- which is a good thing for noobs, crack users, those never updating their OS, proliferating malware or becoming part of botnets.

2- which is bad thing for skilled users, but those should normally be able to block it themselves.

There are many ways to block windows updates, google is your best friend.

I disabled WU via services.msc and by using NVT Win Update Stop. After some time, WU magically activated itself and updated

I got angry and switched to StopUpdates10. WU can never activate itself anymore
