Some Suggestions for using an old Windows XP machine
  • Replace it if you have the money to do so
  • Switch to Linux distribution for productivity (Ubuntu, Linux Mint, etc.)
  • Run a Personal Cloud, File-Based Linux server (ClearOS)
  • Build a media server using a Raspberry Pi
  • Convert it to home security hub (CCTV using Ubuntu Server)
  • Host a Linux web server on it (Turnkey Linux)
  • Turn it into a gaming server (if it has a fast processor)

15 years laptop, it means super-weak hardware which couldn't even run Linux or any server properly, XP on it is already a drag... The only usage I can see make it a pi-hole machine...
