Battle WinRar or 7Zip? What's your favourite?

I use 7-zip, because it is free, but I like the way WinRAR creates SFX archive, I miss that feature. As for Peazip, I did not like something about it.

WinRAR has more options, like where to unpack SFX, run a program afterwards and etc. In 7-zip, I have to pre-create folders, it is pretty annoying.

Only 7zip. WinRAR and Winzip are redundant in my opinion.

Only 7-zip - Free & no fluff - in the past when ive tested all 3, it compresses far greater than both WinZip & Winrar. (massively if using their own compression format)

I'm going for Winrar, and I'm also personally using winrar I never used 7zip

Both are good. Winrar is paid and 7-zip is free. I am currently using 7-zip.

I admit 7zip is better and faster at compression/extraction but I choose Winrar because of its better usability

You can use ctrl-C and crtl-V in winrar but not in 7z
we can run an app with multiple files and database directly in winrar. Winrar will extract the whole folder while 7z only extracts 1 file => make that program crash

However, now I'm using bandizip which supports zone.identifier => compatible with windows smartscreen
