Yes, they emulate all downloads. In Harmony Endpoint this problem can be solved by using Rapid Delivery mode which will allow you to obtain and use the file. Once emulation is complete, the file will be deleted if it has exhibited malicious behaviour but I personally wouldn’t activate that. In ZoneAlarm it is not possible to activate as the policy is managed by them.
in some sites i have to download a file twice because of this message
"Failed to download file. Please try again but only if you trust this site."
any workaround and about the lower ram setting when would it be out ?
and big are the databases with that setting ?
ram and the message above are the only issues i have oh another thing
if i disable settings for example using only antibot ,firewall there is still too many av processes running
btw any chance they can add the forensic report link below the downloaded file (only if its malicious )
oh and seems like i really love zonealarm and used to think its a meh av but I'm surprised at how much stuff at catches
i did have false positives with some packed repackaged software but still lower then many av software like norton , MacAfee etc
url category based filtering misses more then Symantec but zero phishing is really good at catching phishing pages but only perfect at detecting popular brands
(still more then most av vendor at catching phishing with category blocking alone) they do need to keep improving zero phishing and to get something kinda like zero phishing in Symantec you have to use risk levels and its still less advanced then zero phishing and way more expansive and only in the enterprise product
good that they give consumers to use zero phishing as there is no other consumer product that is competitive
anyway i hope you have a solution to "Failed to download file. Please try again but only if you trust this site." as that and ram is the only reason i don't replace defender in my families pcs

used to use Rapid Delivery mode / background for emulation but changed back to hold as well as its more secure
only the URL filtering i have set to background and i advise everyone to use that setting as it wouldn't hold pages

Still feels unfinished, I had issues with downloading even safe files such as Firefox etc, removed it again & reverted to Emsisoft, its a 3 user license yet I get the OTP error after just one install - Support don't seem to answer (ignore) emails, one day if they sort it I think it will be great, but that is if or when they sort the common faults with it - I have better things to do than spend time with a buggy AV solution.

Just downloaded Firefox so at least now there isn't that specific issue btw you're certain you have installed it from the official site ?

About support they answer me almost instantly from the live chat so if you ever come back you might find that more convenient
anyway i didn't have any major issue thankfully but others have mixed experience

It wasn't just Firefox it was just an example, I've used live chat in the past (couple of months ago) to sort the 'One Time Password' issue that support then acknowledged needs sorting with a user being able to log in like most other AV', which I need to do again to register the program - I've heard on here about upcoming changes that don't seem to happen - As I have a three user license & frankly would not install the program on others PC's as I feel it's to buggy - And why have email support if they have no intention of answering? I've used AV's for decades & Zone needs some time spending on it, when they do that it will be good, far to many users on here have asked for refunds, its not just one person, anyway that's my final post on the matter.
