Hi, I realized I haven’t posted any update news here for a long time, and it just crossed my mind that I wanted to share the new version with you here.

Features of Multron Win Cleaner v1.24-*

Complete UI Redesign​

  • Total Interface Overhaul: Everything has been renewed. The entire application UI has been redesigned from the ground up to provide a sleeker, more intuitive, and highly responsive user experience.
  • Visual Enhancements: Added fluid loading animations and refined button aesthetics across all windows to ensure visual consistency.
  • Community Integration: New Discord and GitHub buttons have been seamlessly integrated into the main dashboard for immediate access to our community and source repositories.

Module Enhancements (UI & Experience)​

  • Large File Finder: The interface has been entirely rebuilt and enhanced with a new "Advanced Search Settings" panel. You can now specify Target Directories to scan and Excluded Directories to skip. A minimum size threshold and a file age/date limit (e.g., last accessed 30 days old or older) have been introduced to refine your searches. Additionally, you can now filter results using quick file categories such as Videos, Music, Photos, Archives, Documents, and Others.
  • Duplicate File Finder: The UI has been completely redesigned. You can now set "Target Directories" by adding specific folders or quickly targeting the C:\ drive. New scanning filters include a minimum size limit (KB) and quick extension selection checkboxes for formats like .png, .jpg, .mp4, and .mkv. Options to "Match media across different qualities/resolutions" and "Display SHA256 Hash" in the results tree have been added. You can also manage previous scan findings via "Duplicates.json", search dynamically within the hierarchical results tree, and use new context menu options to open files or folder locations directly from the interface.
  • Memory Cleaner: The memory optimization interface has been completely renewed. A live information panel has been added, featuring a circular graph for real-time RAM usage percentage, CPU load tracking, total RAM usage in GB, and the current automatic cleaning status. Users can now select from three cleaning modes: Quick Clean, Deep Clean, and Deep Clean (Aggressive). New automation preferences include the ability to enable the Memory Monitor Widget, keep it always on top, and schedule automatic cleaning at designated intervals. Smart options have been integrated and start the module alongside Win Cleaner. Extra cleanup tasks for clearing Windows Temp Files and Clipboard Data have also been added to the main interface.
  • Startup Manager: We have implemented foundational code-level logic for tracking and managing system startup behaviors[cite: 5]. This includes the groundwork for newly detected startup item notifications (NewStartupItemDetected.xaml) and a dedicated interface for adding items (AddStartup.xaml). Note: This feature is currently in active development for complete UI integration.

Performance Monitor (Widget) Upgrades​

  • Redesigned Interface: The desktop widget has been updated to a cleaner, modernized "PERFORMANCE" layout.
  • Visual Feedback: New visual indicator bars have been added to display RAM and CPU usage percentages clearly. The overall usage section has been restructured for improved readability.
  • Quick Access Buttons: Dedicated "Clean RAM" and "Usage" buttons have been integrated directly into the widget for immediate memory optimization and system metric access.
  • Position Tracking Fix: Resolved a bug where the Performance Monitor widget failed to properly save its last desktop position to the Registry, causing it to reset its location upon every startup[cite: 5].

Utilities & System Integration​

  • System Tray Icon: Added a new dedicated tray icon for utilities, providing quicker access and better background management[cite: 4, 6].
  • Active Status Indicators: The utilities module now features clear visual indicators, dynamically displaying a "Running" status when a specific utility is active[cite: 4, 6].
  • General Utility Upgrades: Introduced various new features and quality-of-life enhancements to the utilities section to provide a smoother and more informative user experience[cite: 4, 6].

Bug Fixes & Stability​

  • Fixed previous XAML rendering issues and non-breaking space errors that caused layout disruptions in the Memory Cleaner window[cite: 4].
  • Resolved list alignment bugs that occurred when displaying extensive search results in the file finder modules.
  • Improved overall application stability and smoothed out the user experience across all newly designed windows.

We’ve started developing cloud-based malware scanning with Hydra. I’ve released version 1.25 of Multron Win Cleaner, and cloud-based scanning will likely be introduced in the upcoming v1.26 or v1.27 releases, where we’ll also conduct testing.

@HydraDragonAntivirus is currently developing and testing the server and multron win cleaner client.

What's new:

Cloud Malware Scan (Testing)
- Checks running processes, startup items and the folders you choose with the viruskov.com OPEN-EDR cloud engine over an encrypted connection.
- Hash first: files the server already knows are answered without being uploaded. By default only executables and scripts are sent, never personal files, and your Windows user name is removed from folder paths.
- Quick, Full and Custom scans, quarantine with restore, Remove All Threats, a removal history, rescan, and an optional "Scan with Multron Malware Scan" right-click entry.
- Nothing is deleted without asking. Automatic and startup cleans never remove detected files.
- This feature is a test version, released so it can be tried thoroughly and made stable. False positives are possible, so please check a detection before deleting a file, and report anything wrong.

Other changes
- 12 languages, dark/light theme that follows Windows, optional transparency effects.
- Built-in updater (no separate Updater.exe anymore) with a manual "Check for Updates" in Settings.
- New installer and a smaller portable package.
- Only one copy runs at a time; starting it again brings the running window to the front.
- Security Check, notifications after background scans, search boxes in more windows and many fixes.

Antivirus note: Bitdefender and engines that use it may heuristically detect MultronWinCleaner.dll as ransomware (Gen:Heur.Ransom.Imps). This is a false positive caused by normal cleaner behavior; the file has been reported to Bitdefender. The source code is public and every release is built by GitHub Actions.
