Yeah AVG has been running pretty light so far.

Bitdefender was light too until it started updating.
I also noticed that bitdefender was messing up my download speeds.

It didn't use much resources on my tests nor while i gave a test run for a few days. Bear in mind I don't classify it as a light solution. By no means it is light but indeed the only issue is when its updating and about 10 mins or so after updating. Once that is out of the way, it resumes the normal usage.

I didn't notice any download slowdow. That is always one thing I monitor.

Also it is to note I did not have the toolbar enabled since I tested at stock settings and stock settings had it disabled.

Well I didn't notice it until day 4 of using it, My DL speeds were only hitting 7-8 KB/s when my normal has been 360 kb/s

I noticed it was bitdefender because it was starting to do it again so I uninstalled bitdefender and then I downloaded a big file and it was doing 360 kb/s which is my normal.

I find it kinda odd.

Yeah its a Tune Up program, It was very popular on Cnet with High ratings and though I would give it a try, So far its pretty good.
Anyhow,

UPDATED again...:
Removed Panda IS 2012 As it was causing BSOD during reboots after install, Gonna try and send a thing to Panda tech support about it.

So if I get it resolved with Panda or install another AV I'll keep Kingsoft and MBAM Pro protecting me for right now.

Yeah it was odd, I rebooted about 4 times to see if its just a random BSOD but nope, it kept happening every time windows booted so i just went into safe mode and uninstalled it and that solved the problem.

Another CIS user using Chiron guide. Good to see that more and more users are actually taking time to read valuable guides.

One question: You got Comodo DNS on dragon only, System or Router?

RE: 3link9's Laptop Config (Updated 8/4/12

Updated:

Removed Comodo Internet Security Pro (Trial)

Added:
Norton Anti-Virus 2012 (6 month trial)
Comodo Firewall
Bitdefender Traffic Light

So, I decided to use Norton again but instead of NIS I'm using NAV this time as I'm highly impressed by Comodo's Firewall.

Norton is my Third Favorite AV right now (behind Bitdefender and Kaspersky) so Norton is my highest favorite that would run on this laptop right now without causing any slowdowns.

So as a former customer to Symantec I decided to use the 6 month trial for their AV as I don't want to buy a License when Symantec is about to release Norton 2013 lineup soon and I don't want to take any chances if it doesn't turn out well.

Removed:
Norton AntiVirus

Added:
Kaspersky Internet Security 2012
Advanced System Care pro from a nice giveaway

So, I figured I would want to give KIS a try again.... and wow... Its not slowing me down at all.
except for scans and updates.
However I only had it on my Machine for about 2 days now and I'll see how it goes in about a week or two.
