Please meet AdGuard v7.18 for Windows, which deals with ads in the Windows 11 Start menu. This version also ensures that your ad blocking experience stays top-notch — thanks to our updated libraries (CoreLibs, DnsLibs, Scriptlets).

No more Start menu ads

You might’ve heard that Microsoft recently started injecting ads, disguised as app recommendations, right in the Windows 11 Start menu. We are convinced that as bad as ads already are, they are twice as harmful and unwelcome when they hide their true nature and try to mimic regular apps.

Therefore, as we promised, AdGuard now blocks the ads that Microsoft is incorporating into the Windows 11 Start menu. This feature can be enabled from the Ad Blocker tab of the Settings.

I am not from the EU. The start menu is completely ad-free. I use a local account. The only new thing I see in the start menu is "Sign in to your Microsoft account." I am curious if AdGuard's new setting can also block these annoying things.
I installed AdGuard and enabled the new setting, which removed "Sign in to your Microsoft account" from the start menu. 👍
