Firewalls aren’t just for corporate networks. Large numbers of security- or privacy-conscious people also use them to filter or redirect traffic flowing in and out of their computers. Apple recently made a major change to macOS that frustrates these efforts.

It's disappointing that they backdoor their own security mechanisms. Nothing should ever be allowed to go around a user's firewall or VPN without their permission. All the added security of Apple Silicon went straight down the toilet by having logs leak about when you are using what program to Apple. And to add insult to injury it's unencrypted and if you block the domain you can't launch your own apps.

This is a backdoor plain and simple. Not even Microsoft does this because of how dangerous it would be. Sticking to Chrome OS.
