Not anymore. The dedicated sandbox feature was deprecated a few years ago. Sandbox is only for CyberCapture now.
Not so. The feature is alive and well in all paid versions: Premium, One, and Business. There's even the option always to run particular apps in the sandbox.

In fact, I just found this feature also included in Norton 360 during my short trial a few days ago.

The sandbox was mentioned as a benefit in the ads materials for “the new Norton”.

Avast one is slower with more bugs and lack selective component install compared to Avast "regular".
In fairness, I think Avast One has improved for stability in the four years since its initial release. The downside is that it isn't modular, as you say, like Norton 360.

Avast Free and Premium still have interfaces more like the slimmed-down Business version. I realized how much I appreciate this UI after giving it another shot. I wouldn't mind going with Avast Business if licenses were cheaper. :sneaky:

I can explain why Avast One is slower and has more bugs; when installing Avast "regular", I select the essential components only; Avast One has more components, more performance impact, and more bugs resulting from component-component interaction.

Avast is my favorite 3rd party AV, but it is the second in bugs after Bitdefender; unfortunately, nothing is even close to Kaspersky.

I use Norton ... it definitely HAS the sandbox feature. I have never used it though. I have Sandboxie so why would I ever need it?

My runs of Avast over these past couple of years have been bug-free as far as I can tell. Kaspersky is excellent software, however.

Try setting Avast firewall mode to "ask" and to use Edge browser after selecting "allow" Edge when prompted; would Edge be able to connect to internet?

NB: You need to close Edge and launch it again after allowing to find out the bug.

Done. I changed the firewall action for Edge to "ask." After starting up Edge, I allowed it on Avast's firewall prompt. I chose the most permissive rules offered—allow all TCP/UDP—and Edge worked fine. What rules were added to the firewall for you?

I stand corrected.

Avast One underwent a refresh/redesign that debuted at the end of 2025: New Avast One - FAQs | Official Avast Support

The suite is now more modular and customizable like the regular Avast, and the UI looks nicer and less... cartoonish. In fact, it looks a lot more like the regular Avast UI that they've had around a while.
