Advice Request Can't delete Norton Account

So I just chatted with Norton Support. I didn't save the chat details, but thought the conversation was interesting at least.

I asked to basically "Delete my Norton Account". I figured it would be an easy thing to do like Kaspersky allows you to do yourself on their website.

So, the chat agent told me "Due to US regulations, we cannot delete your account but can disable it".

Strange.

Anyone else has more info on that ?
I have an active license, I don't live in the US but I'd like to have the option to delete my account whenever I want!

Not everyone let's you delete your account, you could try this service by Kaspersky.

The law here in Brazil, GDPR, companies has to have the option to delete the account and all the data on it.
