In lieu of recent infections do you fell safe continuing to download and use CCleaner in the future?

I think I will, but on a very very delayed basics.

Give the newest version time to be vetted for malware before you install.

Why you ppl use CCleaner? I found it cant wipe temp folders completely but the kerish doctor or wise disk cleaner wipe everything plus things that CCleaner cant find.. also ccleaner is a paid product when that wise disk cleaner is free!

Thank you for the "yes but" option. Loyalty to CC is eroded and I cut Speccy loose long ago. It's also a question of laziness in trying to find a suitable and "trusty" replacement. Windows built-in doesn't cut the mustard at times, right?

Seems when I will clean install RS3 I will have to review a fair amount of Softwares, I will need to ask the sysadmin to change policies again.

I read a comment about Spy here, I personally think the same.

5 days ago there was an issue with Ccleaner and today backdoor!the next week would be ransomware or smth like that.
CCleaner and installing avast with out permission...

for sure,but this company show if their software go "infected" they published it and fixed the issue,who one know that this not happen for another (company)software and they keep " the problem " silent....

- diskmax: I rate it very high if we enable deepscan (disabled by default with caution). It can clean hundreds of MBs more after we clean up with Ccleaner and wise disk cleaner, not all the time
- wise disk cleaner: very good also, can clean something that diskmax and ccleaner+CCE can't
- privazer: cleans the least amount of trash. Has a valuable option to clean obsolete prefetch files => can speed up the PC. Otherwise, it's average

I use diskmax+ccleaner+CCE+wise+privazer
