I just tested the installer and portable versions (downloaded from Crystal Security) with ZAM, MBAM, Kaspersky Total Security, Windows Defender Last Update, didn't notice something wrong.

I think it's the PUA tweak that is classifying CS as a PUP.
Most probably, because none of my protections have detected bad stuff with the portable and installer version (I even ran complete scans after installation, with ZAM, MBAM, KTS, Windows Defender).

Hi @Kardo Kristal

I have got one question :

In Settings => Protection => File Types => Custom I added ".js" extension (to detect ransomware that use js files), but is there a way to disable it from browsers activities (an option that I could have missed) ?
=> All js files from website make Crystal security ask me to allow / block it :(

Regards,
DardiM

Hi @DardiM

Do you know the location of .js file? If yes then please try to add that directory to Whitelist.

I hope it helps. :)

HI @Kardo Kristal

This is the .js files loading from internet page / website, when I'm surfing (so a lot of, each time). I think there are in a temp folder, I will look :)

Thanks for your quick answer

I tested with several Browsers : Vivaldi, Firefox, Chrome , IE : It happens only with IE.

Temporary folders => C:\Users\DardiM\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Low\IE\J9R2LOZ5 that changes
regularly

Can't add C:\Users\DardiM\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Low\IE\ to White-list with the "add Folder to Whitelist" option because hidden folders don't appear in the selection list.

=> I added another folder, saved the list in .xml, modified the
<file>...temp....</file> concerned with <file>C:\Users\DardiM\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\INetCache\Low\IE</file>, saved the .xml, re-opened the .xml in Crystal Security
But it doesn't work this way :(, always spam when I surf on the internet.

But adding with the "add Folder to Whitelist" a normal (no hidden) folder works fine.

My solution : IE banned lOoL

DardiM
