I am also getting a log error on startup of program.

All was ok with the last version of Crystal Security, and today, same error that was reported by @Andrew999

The error message pop at the same time than a Crystal Security Warning Window (witch is waiting for my decision on an "unknown" file detected - a zip file password protected)

No, but there is a plan to make some changes based on the feedback. So it should be easier to use (e.g. custom scan). Also notifications will be updated in the newer version.

Out of curiosity does this program scan and protect? What virus databases does it use? Might be tempted to use over Avast. UI looks like heaven.

it detects 14/14 files but removes 13/14, and then, has a strange behavior with the last file :

=> system.exe

=> enter in a loop :

(1) Put the file in Overview
(2) Put the file in Blacklist - Show the window with close/restore (system.exe is not removed)
goto (1)

I then tested with a lot of more malware, only pb with this system.exe (tested several times)

To quit the loop, it was easy : as this file is reported by your tool as unsafe, I clicked on "restore", and removed it manually

Active protection - processes, created and modified files and so on
Quick checkup - critical areas and common executables
Advanced checkup - all areas and files

What virus databases does it use?

• Collective cloud - based on VirusTotal via API integration
• Crystal cloud - based on feeds to collect malware information from several sources
• Heuristic engine - detection based on bytes
• Internal engine - hash based detection

Internal engine is able to store recent malware information on your hard drive to provide also some kind of offline protection.

Might be tempted to use over Avast. UI looks like heaven.

You should see tray icon automatically after start-up.

When you right-click on tray icon then you can see tray menu with options.

Sorry, I didn't explain myself. If I install CS and then re-boot to run with windows, and minimized, I get a minimized window as well as the CS icon in the tray. I just want to see the icon in the tray every-time I reboot. For instance, if I install Panda, when I re-boot every-time I just get the panda icon in the tray - no minimized window as well.
