I use Launchy and Start to launch applications and hide icons on my desktop. I like to enjoy clean desktop :)

Yeah, I miss those days, it's nostalgic to see that. My first computer was in 1997 and, believe it or not, it was outdated for its time, an IBM XT just like the one in the picture. I bought it second-hand, it cost $10 at the time, and I had to boot it from a floppy disk, but that's how it all started.

And guess how I bought it? Through the classified ads section of the newspaper. Since it was heavy and old, no one wanted to pick up the computer with me. My brothers said, "That's old, it belongs in a museum." I said, "I know, but do you have a better one to give me as a gift?" They knew it was old, but they didn't have a computer, so I was the first one at home to have one. They laughed, but I didn't care. For me, it was new, a computer from the 1980s. For me, in 1997, it was new. I didn't have another one. I confess to you that I struggled to learn things. I banged my head a lot because I had no one to teach me.

Wow, how nostalgic, 64 MB of RAM, what a time that was. I didn't have one of those. But I did repair one. A customer brought one in for me to take a look at because it was crashing. I loved it. When I worked on that CPU, it had a cool sound, and the processor was fast for that time, a 486 running Windows 95. Good times, too bad they're gone forever.

That Compaq Desktop was given to me by my uncle during my High School days.He said learn computer and so I did .

I too broke my machine lots of times as I keep deleting MS system files to save space as I only have 500MB of HDD. My mom used to call the tech guy to fix it weekly. She became frustrated and gave me the ultimatum that she won't call the tech guy again if ever I broke it for the nth time. She did not even have a clue I'm taking notes of what the guy did to fix it. I started to ask him questions and he answered them in a way for me to understand better. Combine it with my PC magazines, I slowly learned my way and ended up in a computer university.
