Advice Request does resetting my pc will make windows 10 pro (it used to be home, later I bought a pro license) back into home?

Please provide comments and solutions that are helpful to the author of this topic.

Solution
Only if you change the digital entitlement licensed linked to your Microsoft account, otherwise no.
  1. Download the Media Creator Tool and create a bootable USB drive with the latest version of Windows.
    • Or if you have fast Internet, Cloud Download during Reset process.
  2. After installation, login to your Microsoft Account with the Pro license.
  3. Set up Windows following the first-run wizard.
  4. Create a system image backup (3p or Windows) and a recovery drive (in Control Panel).

If you are using a Branded Laptop, avoid the factory reset partition as will install an older build of Windows and cause issues with updating. In fact, I recommend formatting that partition to free up extra space.

Please make sure all...

Hi, guys. I find that my pc is running very slow and glitchy these days, so I want to reset it. SO I want to ask will I lose my windows 10 pro?
Are you using a Microsoft account? If so, the license is already attached to it and to your computer.

However, if you do a full reinstall from USB, sometimes Windows first sees the built-in OEM license and you suddenly get the home version after installation. To avoid this, create a file in the "sources" folder with name ei.cfg with the following lines:
[EditionID]
Professional
[Channel]
Retail
[VL]
0
This will automatically install the standard professional version that is sold in stores. :)

Hello. Before restoring the PC, I suggest the following:

1. Check the disk structure for errors.
2. Cleaning of temporary.
3. Review for malware.
4. Download and run:
Windows Repair Portable

Hopefully you avoid the process of installing apps, folders, etc.
I basically did everything(setting reset sfc, dism, full virus scan, and checkdisk, ) but it is still slow like a snail.

the system is buggy and slow, I checked my hardware should be find, never over heating or hit something.
The cause of the deceleration I experienced in the past was poor contact of the c drive connector. It just slows down without causing any errors. I think that the same symptom will occur if the cable is broken.

I think that if in settings ==> system ==> info ==> change productcode or upgrade windows it says: Windows 10 Pro and Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft Account a reset is safe and will keep your Windows 10 Pro license.

If not just keep your license code nearby so you can change it.

For me it worked with a clean install and a reset.

Next don't use any tweaking software on your clean install, just disable things through settings.
Don't overdo it on security software and enjoy your freshly reset version of Windows.

Posting your security config would be a good idea:

Please make sure all unsaved data is backed up.
