Not saying anything would have been the worst action ever as it would automatic have re-enforced those " rumours ". Now what he actually said back in 2017 could be questioned, but he for sure didn't sit still and take the beating but instead started to attack back.

Kaspersky. Despite the “rough patch” that it’s going through, Kaspersky is a big player in the industry in 2019. The 7.66% market share allowed this tech giant to make it into the top-5 of the most influential brands on the list. Last year, they delivered stable growth (up 4%) and earned 726 million dollars. This year, they’re only a couple of millions shy of that result.

If not for the geopolitical pressure, the Russian tech vendor could’ve possibly achieved even more impressive results. After Symantec and ESET, it is $700+ million is the highest result so far. In 2018, Kaspersky had a 16% growth in the so-called “enterprise segment,” and it continues to grow.

He virtually lost US/EU market, the best paying customers. People on other forums are avoiding Kaspersky as if it were malware.
Yeah, people who are uninformed geese and believe dumb press which twists NSA's bullshit stories how evil Kaspersky is. In reality, people should be demanding answers from NSA coz their contractors got caught handling hack tools, not Kaspersky...

i dont remember the full story in detail, but does the sample got uploaded without the employee consent?
- if he agreed to the upload then it is an idiot, but i highly doubt it is the case.
- automatic upload of the raw file without consent? then it is a privacy breach and Kaspersky deserve all the drama and loss.
