OK NOW I AM GOING TO BE TINY BIT PISSED:
I see on youtube and other sites questions like:
1: What engine are they using?
2: Find out what engine they are using?
3: Any other question to determine what engine we are using.

So for those who have a problem reading and a problem asking me personally:

FMA Intel-Secure does use it own HOME GROWN and developed engine.
Read the first topic: http://malwaretips.com/threads/fma-...d-antimalware-2014-beta-2-free-version.34965/

Or read this:
FMA Intel-Secure CBAD Cloud Antimalware 2014 is our Next-Generation antimalware software.
We have developed our very own Next-Generation CBAD engine that analysis your system for
malicious data and hidden threats using our own advanced Cloud detection
. <<<<<<<< SEE?
Which offers advanced on-demand security in addition to that provided by traditional security
applications such as firewalls, anti virus software and spyware detection software.

So please if you review, advertise or make a post regarding our software please take the trouble to make yourself familiar with our software so you know what you are talking about.
Please....

So let me repeat my words one more time: WE ARE NOT USING VT, WE ARE NOT USING ANY THIRD PARTY ENGINE AND WE HAVE DEVELOPED OUR SOFTWARE COMPLETELY IN-HOUSE.

Thanks in advance.
Kind Regards Nico

FMA Intel-Secure Anti-Malware Beta 2
> What areas are scanned for a Quick Scan? Viewed rt logs and see my Documents folder being scanned, which includes personal/sensitive files (D:\Documents). Included in Quick Scan?
> What does it mean when "Sending file for deep scan" is listed in the rt logs? Send as in upload? Upload what exactly?
Example: Sending file for deep scan D:\Documents\Test\Docs\BankStatement.pdf

What does this mean? (No clue on how to re-produce).

Suggestion for website.
- Please mention support for which OS architecture, 32-bit and/or 64-bit, under System Requirements.

@Huracan

Thanks for your questions m8 let me carefully reply to them.
But before i start i was wondering why you did not read the topic? as all your questions are already replied to.
That being said for your info:

What operating systems will CBAD support? and what are the requirements?
We support 32 bit & 64 bit for: Windows Vista, Windows XP, Windows 7 ,Windows 8, Windows 8.1,Windows Servers 2008 and
Windows servers 2012 R1 & R2

System requirements:

  • Microsoft .NET Framework 4
  • Computer with Pentium or AMD processor, at least 1.6 GHz
  • At least 250 MB of free hard disk memory space
  • At least 2048 MB RAM under Windows 7
  • Requires ACTIVE internet connection
  • Full Admin rights

In regards to the quick scan, it does not limit itself to folders because quick scan is more a setting to tune the cloud and how it runs.
Quick scan is good for small files and yes it checks various folders including documents.
Now if you did pay attention to what i wrote in the topic, the cloud does not use signatures the cloud actually reads and executes the code in a virtual environment and if that action by that file is malicious then and only then will the cloud keep a memory of the files finger print and tell the other clients that if they come across such file they can detect it by default without having to go through the whole process again. So in the log you see notifications that a file is being uploaded (well not the file itself but its internal digital code)
And yes the digital code of the file that is being scanned is uploaded to the server, which recreates the file as mentioned above.
In terms of privacy there is no way on earth that any of my crew would be technically capable of viewing a file like for example your bank info.
All the info in the cloud is 100000% just code no more no less, and even mister wizard of super computer nerd oss would not be able to make heads or tails out of it.
Let me be VERY clear about that.

upload_2014-10-15_13-24-36-png.24681

That is actually a notification that a specific key aka finger print of a file is being added to the dictionary which is part of the system that can "learn" to spot digital code based upon a previous found code and the hybrid forms of it that might roam the internet.
Yet this is still experimental.

But again if you did read the very first post in this topic then you would have known that.
Obviously technical mubo jumbo is kinda confusing so i really appreciate that you are asking me, now if there are any more questions then please drop me a line and i will be more then happy to help you out.

Kind Regards Nico

Nice, if I can find a decent internet connection (a real problem for us) this is going to be our anti-virus solution . Can't wait to see it out of beta. Thanks

I did read the thread before posting, or at least the first two pages. My suggestions was in regards to your website, not this thread. Most websites display support for 32-bit and 64-bit differently to how your site has it written, therefore I may have not seen it. (ie. Usually listed after the OS version).

I voted not interested, as I don't specialise in security software / advanced research.

Thats ok m8, but that being said its on the webpage as well.

But it could be that you missed it, or that you did look before i updated the webpage.
That being said what do you think of the product as it is? Because while you not specialize in security software and such i do wonder what you think about it.

Cheers.

If i may, i would like to make a suggestion for the product, that i feel would be beneficial.

Inserting a way to view details of Files being scanned. I suggest this as i ran a test on a clean machine in the VM and the scan hung up on a legit windows file with no way for me to see "why" it had done so. This would probably take some work to add into the product, but for malware removal and analysis this would be invaluable.

Hello Everyone,

For the next 2 weeks we will be very busy with the premium version, and as such we will not change the free version, due to the fact we are going to add the premium engine to the free version as a standard.
Everyone has been able to see that our free version does work, and work very very well.
Yet after testing it has become clear that there is no point in updating and changing the free (simple) engine while we just can replace it by a far superior premium engine, obviously while the premium engine will suit both free and premium package the free version is not going to have the added cookies the premium has. So the free version will be boosting a limited version.

Yeah yeah that all sound just so so. Just watch what this engine can do.
We have done extensive tests and it is just that simple, our CBAD premium engine is just so much better there is just no comparison.
So why settle for less if you can have it all right? So that being said if you think that the current version is spectacular well.... the only thing i can say: "Buckle up buddy as you are in for a ride..."

Also i would like to give my special thanks to @MikeV for redesigning our logo, icon and even made a wallpaper.
And as a little present the new logo and art work will now be added to our software as a little token of our thanks for his epic work.

So behold:

Is that epic or what? obviously this is the oversized version so as logo it will be all smooth.

Thanks mike you are the man.
