New Update Hasleo Backup Suite launches with file backups and other improvements

Tried to recreate - the mistake... and
Ok my blame...but again, I didn't see any type of warnings when restoring.
Tried to re-create your mistake.

Let's say we have C:/ Partition labeled as "Windows " and D:/ Partition labeled as "Warehouse"

"Disk Mode" is now called "System Mode". And that's what's selected by Default. Normally, this too should work - if you don't touch anything (if the C:/Partition is shown as Yellow/Selected having the Windows Label - while D:/ is shown as Grey/Unselected having the Warehouse label).

BUT... for some stupid reason - "it allows you to click on the Disk (in first panel with Next - before the one where you can Proceed) - and when you end-up in the Proceed panel - your C:/Partition is still shown as Yellow/Selected - but D:/ is shown as Grey/Unselected AND "Unallocated".

Thus, if you missed the Unaloocated space part for D:/ Partition - it's quite likely that it will do as it says: restore C:/ and clear D:/

On the other hand, if you switch to Partition Mode - clicking on Disk - nothing happens (like with System Mode) - nothing happens, since you can only select a Partition and the others remain intact. Tho, pretty sure most people - use default (System Mode) - and they didn't click on Disk by accident.

Seriously, this shouldn't be possible - it's a bad design (leaves room for a meaningless Risk).

Probably this is the logic explanation for what happened to my D drive. Thanks. Will look into it and maybe....i will give Hasleo another shot. (now that I have a full backup of D partition on an external HD lol...just in case :ROFLMAO: ).

Hasleo once broke for me (destroyed all SSD partitions) too while restoring that I shared in this thread previously. But before that I restored at least 20 times without an error. So, I guess s**t happens. After that I returned to Aomei backupper free but it cannot detect my Linux's efi and boot partitions, but Hasleo can, so I returned to Hasleo again. Hasleo is great and offers almost every feature you would need for free. Hopefully, nothing catastrophic is going to happen again.

System backs up the partitions that is the Os, no exclusion option. Those partitions that was created by the installation of the Os.

Disk backup backs up the whole disc, exclusion option possible. That means including the added partitions created by the user after the initial installation. If you want the content from the OEM to be backed up as well you probably have to use Disk backup.

But HBS will show you what is being backed up very clearly before you commit.

I tried the new version last night, there was a change is the amount of time it took to examine the system (as long as the actual imaging) before starting the backup, when the backup started the actual imaging took the same as usual, whether this is deliberate or a bug I don't know, it may well be done deliberately? - Just took twice as long though, not sure how this will effect users with slower machines, but will be interested?

I tried an incremental backup: it took 10 seconds to check the system and about 2 minutes to make the backup. Works as usual. Model: 12th GEN Intel (R) Core (TM) 1.7-1255U

Interesting, not an issue I just wondered if others saw any difference as normally it does a system check almost instant & a full C:\ backup in 17-18 seconds, now its about 30 seconds all told, I don't use incremental - Maybe the program is examining the system more carefully to prevent errors as looking at the change-log? A great imaging program as good as Reflect IMO I used until this year & has never let me down once!
