New Update Hawk Eye Website Analysis Showcase

No, your trust is not shared, it is strictly local.
However I can add it to the bloom filter.
How much time to add ms.now (any site) to the bloom filter.
Admitting: I had to google "bloom filter".
1) Um, are we able to edit "bloom"?

2) Where does my Trust event get recorded?

3) Is 2.6.8 current?
Is there an About with Heat.extension...to confirm version#?

Edit: found version with Manifest

Yes, there is no reliable way to encrypt the bloom list.
The only way to protect it it is to move it to the cloud, but then for every visited site, the cloud will be queried which goes against the privacy model I am looking to implement.
The second way to encrypt it is to have a C++ agent running and communicating to the extension which goes against putting it on the web store.

The only way is to convert it to .bin and use wasm which degrades performance.

Your trust gets recorded in the permanent storage of the browser. The extension allocates permanent storage to itself and all writes occur there.
Extensions are restricted, they can’t write to local files.

? did I ask how to encrypt the list ?
I think I asked whether we can edit the list?

my browser sessions are usually Sandboxie+ (sandbox'd) ...so, I was wondering about where the event is recorded...so, I can open a path for the event to write outside my browser sbox.

Extensions can not write to their folders, they are not allowed. When you install it, Chrome calculates the hashes of every file and if there is a change, it will remove the extension. This is because of their open nature (as you see the code, bloom list and everything lives in simple form).

You can still edit the bloom list.

Add the sites that you want to add and then reload.

This will not be possible once it comes from the store.

No, your decisions are not in this folder.

Oh okay...just realized Hawk Eye Safety Net is not installing like my other extensions.

It will be approved for the web store but before I release officially, I wanna make sure that it’s stable and performant.

So I am looking to identify and fix:
-Possible racing conditions (block page not appearing). On my tests I can’t spot such cases, but when widely used they can appear.
-Possible false positives. Again, from my tests I did not find any but the ms.now case was one
-Possible bugs in every part of the experience and UI.

Also, a few more settings should be added.

often....I see....This site can't be reached...before Hawk Eye page loads.
and sometimes...Norton 360 Safe Web pops...before Hawk Eye page loads.

I think the new Norton 360 Safe Web is the Avast Web Shield..?

If that’s so, it works in the kernel so it intercepts the connection before the browser or the extensions can get it.

It is way higher up in the stack.

Had been basically running along browsing with Level 2 which i been around the block with internet browsing way many years.
Nudged up to Level 3 and of course as expected more preventives tightens the security.

I must say that it's a very well thought out piece of intensive work. And a solid extension with everything laid out for us for preferences.
User friendly and wrapped in it's own unique exquisite UI

Function adjustments (Newest version) courtesy @Trident, only enhanced it to another tier of security/stability. Blank hits on resources here, stable and reactive according to it's preprogramming formula.

I see some people have it. Is it available now?
It is available as an early preview so it needs to be sideloaded.

I am monitoring it for quality.

The official version together with HEAT is expected in Q1 next year.

By then my AI would have analysed a solid portion of the web as well.
