I no longer have any trouble when installing software using KTS 2019. As I see no change in version number or patch level and I didn't change any configuration I must assume it was a temporary glitch with KSN.

I know... as I said it's not installed that's why I assume it was a temporary KSN glitch.

yea it seemed that way since it only puts stuff to untrusted if you set it to do it or if it's in bad rep on KSN.

Patches are delivered and auto updated via standard updates, so the answer would be a yes

I'm talking about TR, which usually is the same than final...

Aside from GUI, how is it better (or worse) than KIS 18?
I heard it has improved boot-time protection. Is that so, and how greatly is it actually improved?

Still there is no official release notes/change log for K2019... neither online help available, where usually are shown the new features also... some of them:

- File-AV -> Advanced -> AMSI Integration.
- Web-AV -> Advanced: Check URL
- Anti-Banner -> filter lists, similar to AdBlock Plus / AdGuard Add-on

So as far as KIS is concerned, it means improved analysis of scripts. That's good.

Yes, in fact I've noticed that K2019 detects more on demand scripts by Heur.Trojan.Script than K2018, which probably also would block them but on dynamic...

A nice improvement in the 2019 version is that the anti-banner now allows for custom lists. If they offered more lists, such as the anti-adblock ones, it could even replace Adguard entirely.
