I'm not "testing" BD free but I did install it recently on win10_VM, and no complications, no slowdowns, in fact perhaps the fastest av I've tried recently in terms of feel at the keyboard.

Immunet had a paid version that used the Bitdefender engine but Cisco discontinued it. Without this engine detection is far from brilliant.
This is rather surprising, as Cisco Talos threat intelligence feeds are amongst the top in the industry. The home version is just not their priority.
