So basically like Virustotal?
Exactly, however I find herdProtect much more usable than VirusTotal, as the former allows you to scan your computer more efficiently than you ever could with VirusTotal uploader.
VirusTotal is more appropriate when it comes to single files or a small group of files, unlike herdProtect which allows you to perform full system scans. :p
Even when batching VirusTotal scans, it is far from practical, compared to scanning with herdProtect. :D

Personally I rarely run it, but it's good to have installed if you think you have malware - it's not for inexperienced users because of the false positives though :)

@McLovin You should use a 15 day premium trial of Zemana, I have to agree with others that it is an amazing product, I use it in real-time :)
Also you could pair it with Zemana Anti-Logger Free.
I don't see the point. Uses more system resources. I barely go to any dodgy sites and on the chance I do need to go to some I would install a VM. For me Trend Micro is enough I like simple and minimalistic.

Looked into it and not a fan, just another thing to run on the computer. For me simple is better.

This has well due for an update. Have reverted back to Windows 10 Home after a factory reset. Since now I don't need the use of Hyper V, I use and do everything via VMware.
