Updated today, no issue. I always get confused with the ESR extension to the update version as ESR has several meanings though it's just extended support release in this case. Anyway TB works really well for me. Not found any alternative that I prefer. I should probably donate

Yes it's confusing why ESR, even more if you try downloading logically... Thunderbird Release but there is a warning:

Thunderbird Release is available for testing purposes only until releases are deemed stable enough for official support. Make sure you backup important data regularly!
