There are no changes in HIPS. Developers cannot even implement their own rules there, which they recommend to protect against ransomware. Why is it difficult to make an option so that one move of the switch could enable / disable this set of rules in HIPS? By default, the rules can be disabled, and whoever needs to be able to enable them with one movement of the switch, and not search on sites and manually enter each rule in the HIPS, which is very long.

Good news! I have 3 ESET Smart Security Premium licenses of 3 years each that I bought a long time ago. Soon I will test the new functionality ;)
Works good. One of the ESSP users on the Russian-language forum has already tested it on a new malicious program.

Yep, I confirm that it works well (having already tried EDTD - business version of ESET), Since it adds a layer of protection to an AV that relies almost exclusively on static detections.

I downloaded a file from the Malware Bazaar website and since I had configured ESET to send the file for analysis and block it until I got a response from LiveGuard, the option to unblock the analyzed file by LiveGuard appeared in the context menu

After analyzing a file that went into the LiveGuard automat, there is the answer after a few minutes.

Nothing new for the Internet Security version  Except for Windows 11. Why haven't LiveGuard been added to Internet Security? Is it a pity?

Yeah, unfortunately they didn't include this feature in the EIS or EAV.

I can be wrong, but I bet they will end up implementing this feature in EIS in the next year or in two years... Having this feature in the premium version only is a non sense in my opinion.

Finally they added LiveGuard/EDTD. It is essential to fight malware 0 days

I would like to know how many clients they have using the premium version vs EIS/EAV. I can be wrong, but maybe more than 60% of their client base doesn't have this "essential zero day" protection because they are using EIS or EAV.

It's a great feature but as I wrote in the ESET forum, it submits too much to LiveGuard. A lot of old and trusted files are also submitted for analyzing for no good reason. ESET's methodology is not smart enough to keep a cloud based whitelist of some obvious trusted programs.

That doesn't make sense... They should keep a whitelist of files already submitted and given as clean in order to avoid that, not just because it will hugly reduce their cloud usage, but to avoid complains.

there are no innovations in the nod32 antivirus program. This is the first time I've heard of such a ridiculous update . They force people to buy smart security premium.
Yeah, one of their "new features" in the EIS version is: "AV-Comparatives 2020 award - ESET has received an Outstanding Product Award in AV-Comparatives Public Consumer Main Test Series for 2020"

No joke... :ROFLMAO:

They should keep a cloud based whitelist but everything marked safe by LiveGuard should not. There's gonna be malware that won't get detected by LiveGuard. But in general some common exe based files at least like 7zip installer, Firefox installer, etc common files that everyone knows are safe should be whitelisted in their cloud. But apparently they don't do that. Only Microsoft signed files are auto whitelisted. Kaspersky and Norton for example are much better at cloud whitelisting.

What kind of jokes? Perhaps the developers could leave only this information in the section What's new for the Internet Security antivirus :) Although this information is also from a year ago :)
What's new? The name Network Inspector appeared already in version 14. I noticed this in Network Security.
Everything related to the Eset account does not apply to the protective functions of the antivirus.
Small cosmetic changes to the program interface do not count either :)
The developers also indicated that something was improved there in HIPS. What exactly was not specified. Perhaps now HIPS EIS 15 version controls two registry keys more than it controlled in version 14 :) Developers can introduce such "improvements" for about 20 years, and write that HIPS improved :)
In general, to put it bluntly, in the section What's new in the help of the EIS 15 version you had to write - nothing new :)

Installed on a virtual machine for fun, the function is only available on ESS.
Can't wait to test everything tonight! (in the meantime, I discover)
