The first thing that surprised me with Norton, was that everything on my machine got faster. I have not had an anti-virus program that allowed my machine to work so easily. The machine starts faster, my start-up programs are up much faster too. I, who used Norton many years ago am impressed now. The only thing Norton spends a lot of time doing is scanning the computer.

When the program was installed, it turned out that it was only downloaded in English, and I couldn't find an installation program in Norwegian. I contacted support, and within 2-3 minutes, a technician was helping me. He logged into my machine, removed the English one, installed a Norwegian version, and gave me a link to further download Norwegian programs. I could have done this myself if I had had a proper exe-file, but instead of searching the web, I tested Norton support. This is the fastest help I have experienced from any competitor, congratulates Norton. If there is something I could do without, it is the advertising about new programs from Norton. So far I'm happy, but we'll see in a while. When it comes to security, I'll have to wait and see.

I never said that there was anything bad about Norton. I could care less what others think, but whenever someone posts an inaccurate or false fact, then I am going to respond. This thread is a perfect example of fanbois getting upset and derailing the discussion.
What a wonderful attitude you have in life :) I don't even use Norton yet being called a fanboy :) Life must be hell in your head- isn't it. Just be nice and kind! Won't be responding in case you reply! Good luck.

Don't flatter yourself. I never said you were a fanboy. You are jumping to conclusions that do not exist. You are the one that should be nice. You jumped into the discussion with attitude, without bothering to read every single post in the thread. You need to listen to your own advice.

Unfortunately, I cannot remember all the firewall settings. But it is easy enough... just set all firewall settings to a maximum level.

For LOLBins you should either create block rules or else configure the firewall to prompt when a LOLBin attempts an outbound connection.
A classic example of " we should change the firewall settings but then when questioned as to what should be changed - oh, i do not remember - just change everything to a maximum level". This is not an example of someone who should be asked for any kind of cyber security advice.
