In fact testing is good. I just realized on Brave mobile while looking into something that I had accidentally turned off ad and tracker blocking while scrolling earlier today. All because I wanted to test something.
Are you using Sync v.2?In fact testing is good. I just realized on Brave mobile while looking into something that I had accidentally turned off ad and tracker blocking while scrolling earlier today. All because I wanted to test something.
Not yet, I’m on iOS so I’m waiting patiently to check it out. If it works well then it’s definitely a FF replacement for my uses. Are you using Sync v.2?
i wrote about it on fridayFinally gave in and used the Windows Update fix to update WD Antimalware platform.

This is exactly what I’m about to move to when I have time. Finally gave in and used the Windows Update fix to update WD Antimalware platform.

AVG is great but when I install it my DNS changes to “Active DNS” according to Next DNS Dashboard. The system does not respect my DNS settings when AVG is installed.I've gone over to the Dark Side --> running a trial of AVG Internet Security.
Because of cookies?I've gone over to the Dark Side
This started to happen when AVG fixed an issue that caused AVG activation and account log in wizard for connecting to the internet. On Next DNS dashboard, the status keeps changing from Next DNS to Active DNS infinitely. This does not happen on devices running Kaspersky or Malwarebtes or McAfee.AVG is great but when I install it my DNS changes to “Active DNS” according to Next DNS Dashboard. No problem here. The only bugs I've found so far are:This started to happen when AVG fixed an issue that caused AVG activation and account log in wizard for connecting to the internet. That’s weird. Maybe the issue is related to network scanner? I do not know. I am not using AVG on my main device now, so I can not check whether the issue is fixed or not. Maybe it was a temporary fix for the activation issue. Regarding the issue you are having with the GUI, I had it months ago and was able to fix it by running a programme repair. I do confirm the second bug regarding showing the latest update. Anyway, in my experience with AVG, it is better and safer to download the offline installer. No problem here. The only bugs I've found so far are:
- GUI fails to launch after install
- GUI home page fails to show last update correctly
Only initial launch failed. Thanks for the tip about offline installer. That’s weird.
Before Avast’s acquisition, AVG never suffered from such bugs, but let’s be honest that Avast also improved parts of AVG.Only initial launch failed. Thanks for the tip about offline installer.
What's your initial impression? How does it affect system performance, and why did you choose AVG?I've gone over to the Dark Side --> running a trial of AVG Internet Security.
