App Review PC Tools Antivirus Free | Spyware Terminator | Quick Heal tests

It is advised to take all reviews with a grain of salt. In extreme cases some reviews use dramatization for entertainment purposes.

RE: A lot of tests

Major fail for PC Tools Antivirus Free....A ransomware trojan manage to lock down the VM......

Seems like Symantec didn't focus on the development of PC Tools.... so I wonder why did they bought it in the first place???

As for Spyware Terminator.....the total fail is not a really big surprise....... Short story.... a decent product in the past.. a worthless product these days.

BTW here is the correct link for the Quick Heal test : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AdXaRO5XOqs , because the link in the first post will re-direct the users to the Spyware Terminator test.

Suggestion for your future videos : Please use the Full screen mode of your VM when recording because it will allow your viewers to better see what's going on. :p

simple answer, by buying the company they can spoiled it of their technology and use it for their own apps, in addition it makes one less concurrent on the market.

thanks :D

Quickheal is interesting since their 2011 version made the detection rates improved.

Pc tools now have version 2012 out now
No it isn't.

On the webpage, under SDAV it said "2012" but it seems to have been fixed. Nothing confirms its release. AChen said last month that the 2012 product line will not be expected till late October.

Regarding to Quickheal, I went to a store and these products are not expensive.

Based on local currency (Saudi Riyals) its range from 30SR-80SR estimated unlike Norton and Bitdefender the prices were 220SR+.

I don't know if I'm blind but that price is cheap.
