It is advised to take all reviews with a grain of salt. In extreme cases some reviews use dramatization for entertainment purposes.

True but Kaspersky right on their tale. Kaspersky very light...

On my PC its as follows in lightness:

Panda, Eset, K7, Avast one, McAfee... All tied for 1st place

2nd place would be mostly all others, (ZoneAlarm, Avast, AVG, Kaspersky, Emsisoft) except for BD, it's heavy, and had problems with Avira...*** ALL Tested on a clean install image by Macrium X.

But I chose Zonealarm from 2nd Place position, just for the excellent Security, as it is a complete package, AV, FW, Behavior, and much more...Plus it's as fast as all the others in second place. Win, win, so that is what I chose. And it's pretty much install and forget.

And whatever some may think of AV-Comparatives, I still think some of their testing is valid, or at least to give pause for consideration. From the Sept test:

I agree, consider this.

Let's say someone did a very thorough test on security software, and we all came to the conclusion that the test was a monster, it's tested every aspect to the extreme.

BUT they did the exact same test on every product.

Now let's pretend that Webroot got a 95% protection rating on all fronts. But Eset got 65%....

Regardless of the critique of the test, it still gives an outcome that would have to be considered.

Zonealarm is really a great product one of the best set and forgot with at least on my pc low false positives even with some piracy and yes it has most of the enterprise technologies of checkpoint and although a lot of products including a very advanced ips system and antibot , CDR (threat emulation and extraction) etc but I would say the best thing going for it is having a good cost for the full version wich is cheaper then other av software with comparable sandbox (18$ for 5 devices)

Only issue I have with zonealarm is that it's light only on machines that have enough ram
16 GB+ machine it will be as light as a feather for average PC user usage pattern
But on a 2gb machine with windows 11 it will be hell

Trident explained the reason checkpoint decided to have full signatures with zone alarm as fast access signatures have lower performance impact as long as there is unused ram and they are working on getting a small signature option

Tuxtalk who has a slow Celeron PC with 12gb of ram who was a Linux user before had reported in his review that zonealarm is light App Review - ZoneAlarm Extreme Security Next Gen 2024 - With Malware Tests

So I would highly recommend it for those with a decent amount of ram and once they make a smaller signature option I could probably recommend it to a lot more people

Another good thing about checkpoint is that have a new CEO who was a Brigadier general in the idf and a commander of unit 8200 as well has worked for the mossad (probably at a high position)

"Prior to co-founding Team8, Zafrir spent 25 years in the elite military intelligence unit 8200, where he established the Israel Defense Force’s Cyber Command, before retiring as a brigadier general."

I did an unofficial count, and without a calculator. Looks like it's using about 325Mg of memory

More ram used by an av software has benefits secondly they are solving it and 325mb is already less then what it used to have used before

Anyway I bet YouTube 1080 video tab takes more ram on your system

So only low ram machines for now shouldn't use zonealarm

And they are adding more gpu acceleration and other improvements as well

Or am I misunderstanding, and this is right after Christmas, and I am getting some friendly advice,
It was only for your information, not a critique, thus the 'FYI'. Nothing more, nothing less. You're not a very frequent poster, even though you're not a new member, and I didn't know if you were aware. Happy New Year!

System requirements

ZoneAlarm Extreme Security NextGen
Microsoft® Windows® 7, 10 All versions
32-bit, 3 GB RAM / 64-bit, 4 GB RAM
2 GHz or faster processor
1.5GB of available hard-disk space

Microsoft .NET framework
Version 3.5 or later
Note: If a supported Microsoft .NET Framework is not installed, it will be installed with ZoneAlarm

Web Secure Plus Browser Extension
Google Chrome (All versions), Firefox, Edge

ZoneAlarm Mobile Security App
Android 4.2 or newer
iOS 9.0 or newer.

Compatibility
ZoneAlarm is only compatible with MS Windows Defender, and is not compatible with any other anti-malware software. To install ZoneAlarm, you must first uninstall other anti-malware software. Otherwise, you may experience OS stability and computer performance issues.

Actually it's understandable as I used a 2gb ram machine on windows 11 64 bit with a slightly over 1ghz base frequency on the Celeron so I was under the system requirements

(Laptop had a 2 core Celeron at 1.1 GHz if I remember correctly and 2gb ram )

Lest there be any confusion, I just opened task manager. Maybe that is not the best or most accurate why to count Ram use.

Oh, OK, Thank You.

I guess I'm still new. Actually this is tofargone.

But when I switched to Sticky from RoboForm, per the advice given here at MWT.com. I lost my login for toofargone, and this is an account that had a banned email,.

I wrote to the superiors here at MWT.com and they were nice enough to unban my old email address.

That is good news since I have a 2 year license, and hope to get another 2 year license with the same discount. I think I got this 2 years for $27.00 (I think)

I wonder if it's possible to stack the license but I guess you will have to ask the support anyway that's definitely a good deal and cheaper then alternatives like eset

Just, for the thread, an irrelevant trifle.

Not Czechoslovakia, but the Slovak Republic. (Czechoslovakia was divided into the Czech Republic and the Slovak Republic.)

I, too, am looking forward to the test. (y):)❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️☃️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
It's google...

@annaegorov @anirbandutta01 FYI, users are able to reply to multiple posts in one reply, otherwise it can appear as 'spamming'. ;) :)
Oh ok sorry sir. 🙂 Kindly confirm if this post ( current one ) it's okay or not? ( With multiple post's reply in one post )
I don't understand, make a replay to 3 people is 3 replies, right?

Or am I misunderstanding, and this is right after Christmas, and I am getting some friendly advice, or is this a critique.
