on win8 i had a conflict that froze the system just after the boot, must have to restore my backup

You will only have some conflicts on Windows 8 and it is still user based, meaning not everyone will stumble across the same issue.

Pre windows 8, ESET with EIS won't conflict as long as exclusions are properly set (EIS - user will need to configure both EAM and OA).

no because BD and ESET are not companion AVs like EAM, i know why you ask that because EAM uses BD engine and you just won BDIS ^^

Rule of two : "2 full-fledge AVs must not run together unless specifically designed"

Never have really used it since then as well, due to my system screwing up back then. Took me forever to find out what the problem was.
