By Staff Site Issues and Feedback

Hi everyone,
When Jack started this thread, he mentioned it was to "report if you encounter any errors while using this site."
https://malwaretips.com/threads/site-issues-and-feedback.73156/
I read that as to report technical issues, not for quarreling.
Therefore, would you please end your discussion and reserve this thread for reporting technical issues. Thanks.

@Parkinsond I understand your feelings, but Silversurfer and Harlan4096 are the most objective moderators. Silversurfer just recently joined the mods, so he could not be a friend with a member who was a mod long ago.
Since you enjoy using sarcasm and irony to attack other users or even the forum staff, I will tell you that despite everything, I consider myself a moderator with considerable patience and benevolence... In recent months, there have been some users on this forum who would have been banned long ago on other forums, so those I am referring to can even be thankful 😉

So, what is that then? 😉

Finally, just agree for disagree and forget about that
100000000% agree with this statement. Nothing else needs to be said. Just agree to disagree and move on, no need for trolling or trying to get others banned.

And if you rage hard or get emotionally upset over someone at MT then your not going to like the rest of the internet.

In the end if MODS think a post is against the rules or personal attacks or just plain trolling they will act. If a post of mine is deleted or thread closed it's probably deserved.

Hi guys,

My personal decision to (sporadically) use the Ignore button is not related to moderation issues. In my opinion the moderators do very good job.
I use the Ignore button very rarely, to help moderators and avoid long discussions proving that "a man is not a camel".:)
Some former MT members highly respected by me were banned because of conflicts with other members. I would rather use the Ignore button than be a part of unnecessary conflict.(y)

So, how many people got ignored because of this useless thread?

Any thread that deviates from its purpose, and becomes somewhere for people to needlessly complain about dumb things and petty people, is, well, needless.

The thread is: "Site issues and feedback". So you are right about off-topic posts, but the thread is not useless. (y)

The over 50.000 members claim seems questionable to me.

The today's birthday section is a sad proof of that (13th March 2026)

That is 1 on 8 members which are still active. Assuming the birthdays are spread randomly around the year, the number of today's birthday varies form 6 to 18 during the last weeks, that would imply 2190 to 6570 members total. Using this weeks average of active members (1/8 to 1/4) means that MT has over 1500 active members at best.

On what figure is the over 50.000 members claim based?

Like almost every forum, game, or service on the internet, the total member count includes everyone who has ever made an account, including people who haven't logged in for years, one-time visitors, and inactive users. So, the 50,000 figure is accurate for total registrations, even if the active community is smaller.

That without counting the number of accounts We remove from Approval Queue daily, that forum filter identifies as suspicious of spam...

I don't know what's the problem -> @Jack

Still, the forum has some filters, and it does not allow some words such as c m d.exe or if You can call them "LOLBINS", if You try to type them in a simple post, You will get a similar error...
