The read/unread distinction should be much easier to spot now.

Unread notifications, PMs and threads now have a more visible accent highlight and indicator dot, so you can quickly see what’s new at a glance.

What about also a change in the main icon of every section, like in previous themes? Still a bit difficult to me easily/quickly find unread threads or posts with the new theme

The different change in the icon is very slight, with and without changes in the section... icon should be brighter or color change...

Yes, there is. Click on your username in the upper right, once you're logged in, and select "Preferences" There you'll see where you can change your theme. It's the first set of options listed.

You can now change the red accent color if it’s not your thing. There are 5 colors to choose from.

You’ll find the option in Account Preferences or directly in the Light/Dark mode switcher in the sub-header.

I’ve also added a font-size controller in Account Preferences, so you can adjust the text size to your liking.

5 colors for now - pick your favorite.

Great! The new layout is nice, but that red color .. changed it to blue.

I have redone the site logos -- both full/small logo will get the color from the accent you want to use.

Unread -- Blue links - bold - with pulsing dot .. blue background on forums/discovery pages
Read --- Black links - bold - grey dot -- no other background..

I don't know how to make it more obvious what is read/unread

Could you check the edit on Security Settings?
It seems slow to me... compared to before.
I have no idea if this problem occurs on low-spec PCs like mine.

But it only works after you log-in.
I'm not saying it's easy to get used to the new feature right away.
I find it complicated to have one style when log-out and another after log-in.

I agree. It may be nice if the V1 version was enabled by default for when we're not logged in, and for non member users who are viewing this forum, that it may be a better experience for them?

Yes, but, how many guests would know to look all the way down there? Maybe it should be at the top of the forum page with a bigger, more descriptive icon, a new box button? I'm on a laptop.

I think @Jack may have considered my 2nd post above? Try going into you Preferences and ticking Default from the bottom of the options, as default style: V1 is listed first now.
