New Update SpyShelter v15

Is SpyShelter free? I read that you can download a free version but it is a trial
SpyShelter isn't free but it's subscription-based software. The setup file available for download lets you test the Pro edition for a period of 30 days. When that period ends SpyShelter switches to Free mode. In Free mode you can enable only the Application Security Control module, at least this was the only module available in Free mode when I tested Pro version some months ago.
Currently they offer a 25% discount for the Pro edition and 50% discount for the Ultimate edition Purchase SpyShelter Pro or Ultimate

@Avethil what was your opinion, eg worth a test drive or nothing special? (I'm guessing it would be duplicative of apps like Cyberlock / AppGuard)

Hello,
in my opinion it's too expensive for what it offers. Furthermore they don't sell lifetime licenses and SpyShelter 15 developers are little inclined to introduce new substantial features, requested by some potential users in SpyShelter official forum. The only recent "relevant" addition was a hardware resource monitoring, not really needed for a cybersecurity software, moreover when already exist free softwares able to monitor hardware resources. They also removed Registry protection and, as far as I know, they didn't restore it. Here is the changelog SpyShelter Help
Lastly the subscription price for PRO version is for max. 3 devices. As I need to protect only 1 device, several months ago I asked in SpyShelter official forum if they could add a subscription for 1-device only, at a cost lower than 39.99 $ of course (someone alse asked for it too), but they did not accept our request. Here it is the reason:

In the past I purchased licenses for other softwares then 3 years ago I had to purchase a new PC as the previous one had some hardware failures and it didn't even turn on anymore. I was able to transfer those licenses from the old PC to the new one without issues, both by myself (i.e OSArmor) or by contacting those software's support (i.e. MiniTool ShadowMaker Pro) so I really don't understand what would be the issue for purchasing a license for 1-device only. In any case, why should I pay for protecting a maximum of 3 devices when I only have one ? In my opinion, not adding a 1-device option at a lower price, they could lose some potential subscribers.
