It emerged during the same time period with Malwarebytes, as far as I can remember; they were a good combo with the main AV those days.

It was a great product when it was first released, but it's been terrible at detecting malware for many years now. It's only good at detecting tracking cookies.

Tracking cookies do not worth the effort; they are autodeleted on Edge exit when it is set for.

Yes and that's why it's rare to find software that detects them these days, other than cleaning software which deletes all cookies, and Malwarebytes has never detected them.

SEP sometimes come up with one or two cookies after on-demand scan; never got such a detection any other AV.

It's great at detecting tracking cookies and that's about it. The paid Pro version includes Avria's SDK (and that's its AI engine), but isn't at good as Avira itself, or F-Secure.

The original slogan was or similar? 'we remove all the malwares, not just the easy ones' I think that's an approximation of the original advertising, it eventually became a shadow of its former self. I had a 'lifetime' licence which eventually became downgraded, I tried it last a couple of years ago+ but it began I feel in an era where there where AV's & anti-malware programs were separate entities, since then that''s largely no longer the case.

When I tested SuperAntiSpyware very known recent samples it has 90% detection rate but left samples didn't get detected by Kaspersky with 10% detection rate (1%) but ClamAV 40% Bitdefender almost 100% idk what happened but I recorded as video but video is so bad no editing etc.
