The best VPNs for staying anonymous and secure on the web

Whenever I see ExpressVPN, CyberGhost & Tunnel Bear in the top VPN's I know that it's a sponsored (paid) article, & there are so many of them with the same sad line-ups - IMO none of those are the best.

Yeah, I must say I was in two minds about posting this article/ad. Thought maybe there were people who hadn’t heard of them yet.

What I dont understand is that how has VPN companies not been sued yet for their straight up deceptive marketing tactics?

Every vpn you mentioned falls under 14 eyes surveillance... Choose vpn which don't fall under 14 eyes nation jurisdiction . I use PROTONVPN registed under Switzerland and out of 14 eyes nation jurisdiction. Switzerland has the best privacy policy. Other products to be considered liked VYPRVPN , HIDE.ME VPN. NORD VPN ( i am bit suspicious about it , though it's jurisdiction is Panama , not 14 eyes members and values high privacy policy ) . Vpn from Malaysia and Seychelles also can be considered..

It's a great VPN Proton, but it also had some issues :)

It is true that this is aimed at ProtonMail but it is the same company...
NO VPN will offer you privacy!
Maybe Mullvad (RAM Only server), but if the police seize them, I think they must have some data...

I was not aware of that . Thanks for bringing it to my notice...

- ExpressVPN, PIA and CyberGhost are owned by Kape (a well-known company famous in hacking based in Israel)
- NordVPN and SurfShark are owned by NordVPN (a company which is registered in Panama however, the mother company is based in Lituania)
- ProtonVPN (discussed above in the previous posts)

And there are many brands which are actually using the inftrastructure of the above service (as they also sell their services as a white-labeled service to other providers)

The only two companies which I noticed that really have a good history and also try to be transparent are Mullvad and iVPN. The quality of the severs of iVPN is not as good as Mullvad and they do not support and streaming service.with Mullvad servers in the US and EU I got 180Mb/s (I have a 200Mb/s internet connection) and also I can easily open Netflix and watch Twitch.

So I would answer you that at the moment the only VPN service which I would recommend you is Mullvad .... I just noticed that there is a special offer of Mullvad right now for MT members.... I got a 3 years subscription myself right now and waiting for the delivery of my license :D .. thanks MT

Well, that really depends... VPN can provide you with some level of privacy... specially against the trackers... but if you want a better privacy you should also change your own behaviour online:

1- Choose the right VPN service
2- Use UBlock origin in addition to your VPN's tracker blocker
3- Not to use the same IP/Server all the time
4- Try multi-hop-ready VPNs such as Mullvad... and load websites like Amazon and Facebook in separate browsers. And set a different IP address for each of them.

This guy does not talk about such features... and don't forget. technology is evolving and such videos can become obsolete very fast!

I would say the best is probably Mulvad or Ivpn, I've tested both Mulvad server are faster IVpn is a bit poor speed wise.
