@Tornado: If you want to see the full exert exploit protection came from third party then go to MBAE however the end does not always justifies the mean which EMET can provide some protection vice versa.

Norton is amazing! :D By far the best security I have ever used, well worth the money :)
That's true! It's complete, light, has very good signatures, both malware files/urls and one of the better phishing protection there is. And if something goes wrong there is still the SONAR protection or in horrible cases, Norton Power Eraser. It's also my favorite one after trying so much AV's. Great choice! :)

Check this out :)
Timeline:

2007 - 2009 - Kaspersky PURE
2009 - September 2015 - Avast! Free Antivirus
September 2015 - December 2015 - Avast! Internet Security
December 2015 - January 2016 - Qihoo 360 Total Security
February 2016 - Present - Norton Security

Security software I have used in my lifetime (in order of how I like them 1-5)

Top five (names may have changed, here's what they were called when I used them):
1.) Symantec Norton Security
2.) Avira Free Anti-Virus
3.) Qihoo 360 Total Security
4.) Kaspersky PURE
5.) Avast! Internet Security /Avast! Free Anti-Virus

Others:
  • AVG Free Anti-Virus
  • Windows Defender
  • ESET NOD32
  • IObit Malware Fighter (when I knew nothing about security, it corrupted my system!!)

Are there any essential settings I need to change in Norton? The only thing I've changed is 'Boot-Time Protection' to Normal, the default is off.

Do you really need crypto prevent installed considering the tools you have installed already?

Unless you are actively looking for infections, chances of getting crypto prevent to shine are minimal.

The days that norton slowed down your system are long gone! I do not even notice it on my machine , which is fairly low end. It still runs smooth like hot knife through butter ;)

What are your basic PC's specs? I don't wanna get involved in something i will end up uninstalling lol

I might give it a try, i have a notebook with 8GB RAM/i5 4th gen, i think i should have no problems.. Still waiting for @safe1st test of Norton vs GData if he says yes lol
