Nik Rolls aka Nicole Ashley made the arrangements for uBO Edge to be automatically submitted to the Edge store once a new version is released on GitHub. But for whatever reason, the automation seems to have stopped and no one has heard from her lately. Only she would know what happened.

It seems what happened is that in the last 3 years since the Edge insider interview was conducted, He, Nick Rolls transitioned into She, Nicole Ashley. It is something which has happened quite a lot in the western counties lately as you would know. Besides, when I first saw Nicole's GitHub picture a few weeks ago, that's what I initially thought also but now it seems my guess was correct.
Anyway, I just wanted to share what's going on with uBO Edge not receiving updates and the last comment posted above by user @bazang is the reality of the situation at the moment.

Some users might already noticed that for the latest release uBOLite_2024.9.12.1004 on GitHub there afterwards changed the notes of installation only for Firefox,
therefore looks like that from now uBOLite for Firefox needs to be installed manually as it's no longer available on AMO:

• Firefox: Click uBOLite_2024.9.12.1004.firefox.signed.mv3.xpi
  This is a self-hosted version as uBO Lite is no longer available on AMO, see #197. The extension will auto-update when a new version is published.

Manual installation

• Chromium: Download the uBOLite_2024.9.12.1004.chromium.mv3.zip package below, unzip, navigate to chrome://extensions/ in your browser, then tell the browser to load the extension. You will have to update the extension manually.

Why should one use uBO Lite on FF as long as uBO MV2 does the job.

Well, personally, I switched to uBlock Lite today because using uBlock Origin in Brave is only a temporary solution, and the new AdGuard gave me a warning on a lot of websites that it could not work on that website. So, hence the switch to uBlock Lite in Brave.

Now I will keep using uBlock Origin in Firefox for as long as possible.
