It’s certainly more efficient this way with UD.;)(y)

But there’s a problem with some websites: you have to repeat the operation because the system seems to freeze, and a pop-up appears at the top pointing this out and asking you to try again.
I think you know what I’m talking about.
Repeating the operation doesn’t always work, so you have to keep trying.

I have no idea if this behavior is due to the fact that I have a policy that doesn’t save browsing history in Brave.

When you finally succeed, you’ll find that this system,at least on a slow computer like mine.shows a longer delay (ad-flicker) after closing and reopening the browser, during which both the age verification prompt and the cookie consent pop-up appear and then, of course, disappear.

This delay (ad-flicker) is certainly longer than on other websites where the long rule works correctly.

So you can imagine that I use these rules on a few particularly challenging websites, which make up only a small fraction of all websites.

Some website have an deliberate wait like NYtimes, where you have to add 2 x Cookie consent clicker because the scriptlet is triggered with a lower delay than the websites scripts trying to unhook it. So you either click cookies or wait until websites has rebuild.

Version 10.1.18 is on Chrome Web Store

When you add below lines to ABP-Import the in-video ads on CNN should be skipped

! CNN skip video ads with uBlock Dynamic SAFE scriptlets
cnn.com#%#//scriptlet('disable-fave-ssai')
cnn.com#%#//scriptlet('stub-window-object', 'AdFuel', 'queueRegistry,destroySlots', '500')

Version 10.1.19 is send to CWS which has above rules in the badfilter-quick fixes ilist on my Github
When scriptlets are updated a review is nessecary, developers can't use the automatic update
(when review is considered necessary by Google even with a SAFE scriptlet update, would that be a hint :-) )

Then, I'm doing something wrong = #384.
Do you have AdGuard base enabled? Do you have other adblockers running also? Can you try whether Starting Worry-free mode makes a difference?
Did you copy paste the rules or entered them manually? Did you quit the browser completely (Mv3 sometimes keeps stuff in cache)?

copy/paste | Worry-free mode active at startup | recycle Chrome = yes | no other adblocker | all uBD boxes checked |
I'll test again....

With the scriplets for CNN, visiting that link makes the counter go up so insanely fast. What are they doing with that site at CNN? :)
I have to see whether I can make the AG rule Mv3 proof which switches of the script that tries to reinstall advertising stuff (that might be the reason the counter goes bazerk). Thanks for reporting, I had not realized this.

Tip: when you combine uBlock Dynamic with 3P-Matrix lite, make sure the TLD whitelist match (and add Download Sentinel after requesting a free VT API-key).

Why seperate 3P-scripts & frame protection from the ones in uBlock Dynamic?
uBD focusses more on adding first party protections outside the safer regions (and uses scriptlets and the browser Content Sandbox Policies), while 3PM focusses (solely) on third-party protection (from) outside the safer regions using Mv3 DNR rules. Also for notification it is also easier to have to seperate iacon badges warning you and the slider UI of 3PM can't be easily integrated into uBD. You can easily copy your uBD allowlist into 3PM (switch to level 1 and sopy paste.

Um, are you also running Brave Shields\Advanced options\Filter lists -- along side uBlock Dynamic, 3P-Matrix lite add Download Sentinel?
No I have disabled Brave ad shields. It uses Easylist and uBo filters, so you could always enable on demand when some ads come through.

update 10.2.1
- update filters
- changed some wording and tooltips on the Privacy & Security tab
(tooltip did not explain which safe privacy signals were blocked, NFC is also a safe one, nice to know this is also blocked for websites outside safer-regions zone)

Edit

Adding South America and Korea & Japan does not impact user base. uBD started as an extension for personal use. Because of suggestions and challenges it got better and acquired a steady 600+ user base. So I am pausing the region expansion. Because there are some people from Brasil who use uBD, I am not going back to 5eyes & EU+ only.

The safe regions TLD logic (to automatically select the correct country codes) is suited for world wide usage and I keep it as is (less than 100 lines of code), everything else is not impacted by the recently added regions (South America and South Korea plus Japan), because it is data based (only filters).

As posted by the first V10 announcement, the new language oriented setup (in stead of 5eyes & EU+) is even better for most existing 5eyes & EU+ users (for comparison with three large language filters you are as fast as old 5eyes & EU+, for people using less language filters, uBD should be a tiny bit faster).

FYI:

I met my acquaintance again who (is an UX-specialist and) looked at the UI of both 3P-Matrix and uBlock Dynamic and told him that it sort of nagged me that there were similar settings in the two different extensions. He agreed that is indeed against the rule of thumb to only ask users to set something in 1 place and asked me about the reason. I answered performance: 3PM only processes DNR, uBD DNR+JS (for cosmetic and scriptlets).

While I was explaining it to him I suddenly realized about the big difference between 3PM matrix and uBD Dynamic DNR filtering. Rules created with 3PM matrix apply to ALL websites and rules created with uBD Dynamic DNR only apply to the CURRENT website. When I was discussing with AI what the best place to put the worry-free and safer-regions protections in, AI assumed that they applied per website and not globally and advised against it for performance reasons.

So I asked Claude again explainig the difference and now it did not had the problem to mix and match global rules with website rules (remember uMatrix has a setting to apply rules globally and per domain?), which led to a different outcome: applying the rules protection rules costs about 100 milliseconds per page build, but when I remove them from uBD it gains on average 80 milliseconds per page. Meaning the downside of moving all protections to 3P-Matrix only is 20 milliseconds (which nobody will notice).

My acquaintance wanted to know how well AI was capable of incorporating this with AI (he was shocked to see AI's designs were about 80% correct) amd he adapted the UI of 3P-Matrix. I will post some screenshots in 3PM thread.
