Self-Destructing Cookies - Doesn't scan the pages for trackers. Just deletes all 3rd party cookies other than the site loaded. No need to worry about new trackers being added.
Previously used to use DoNotTrackMe.

This was an extension called EXT Shield which blocked malicious extensions.However I uninstalled it when it didn't show up in the chrome store anymore.

Edited: I restarted Chrome and it is still in the webstore if you search ext shield it comes up just renamed "Shield" now

I think Adblock plus with zenmate is a good combination.

In my view HTTP SwitchBoard is the best privacy/anti-tracking extension our there. The only downside is that it's available for Chrome (and forks) only.
But it's extremely flexible, anybody can set it to meet his own needs. It requires some work at the beginning but then it's really effective.

Adblock is the first extension I install on a new browser always, so it'd be the best one to me. I do use many other privacy/security extensions but that's just #1 IMO

On Google Chrome - HTTP Switchboard and enabled AdBlock Plus complex filters (replacement of using the actual extension of AdBlock +) and Javascript Popup Blocker.
