well, I'll pass i guess. Extensions that aren't updated for 2+ years are not really attractive for me...

Just a quick note, on Firefox, extensions like uBlock Origin's rules gets prioritize over built in tracking protection. On Chromium it's the other way around.

the thing is that Chrome doesn't provide an option to remove browsing history after closing the browser, only firefox does as far as i know. So I'm looking for an extension that does that for me, without deleting cookies too.

Maybe better try the Adguard VPN Beta. You can choose Adguard DNS too and at least disable it, when it causes problems on some websites.

I don't really use VPN unless I have to so Adguard DNS is fine for me at the moment.

Are you using PB with built-in and µBO/Adbguard?

For me, the foundation for both Edge and Vivaldi. Clear URL extension also--many thanks, oldschool, a good addition. AdGuard DNS also.

Plus some native tweaks in Edge since Viv. is also Sandboxie'd and set to auto-delete after closing. I don't consider Sandboxie for privacy purposes, more for general security. And....that's it.

Talking about the privacy within the browser, even using TOR within the Tails will not guarantee anything.

Side note:
A setup that I used to run was Firefox (desktop) and making use of Firefox's Multi-Account Containers and pairing it with Temporary Containers. It is a pain to setup, but once you get it configured to how you want it, it's worth it.

So you are saying that it's more effective?

I think so. It is actively developed and so gets updated frequently with new libraries. To be honest, I'm not sure how much privacy it will add. But I feel it helps browsing faster, so I bite.

Usually in medium mode, but trying just easy to make things simple. PB says it's blocking things, but there is a lot of overlap in what they say they're blocking so I can't be sure without extensive research which I'm not inclined to do.
